Urogenital Injury in Polytrauma Patients: a Five-year Epidemiological Study

INTRODUCTION The authors present an overview of polytrauma patients with urinary tract injuries managed in the Level I trauma centre. purpose this study was to evaluate frequency system, mechanism their injury and method treatment cohort treated MATERIAL AND METHODS Between 2012 2016, a total 231 were treated, whom 47 (20.3%) also suffered urotrauma. renal trauma, ureteral bladder urethral classified according American Association for Surgery Trauma (AAST) scoring scale. RESULTS non-operative opted 24 (86%) Grade II kidney injury, whereas surgical revision indicated line European Urology (EAU) Guidelines 9 (100%) III or higher. non-operatively two (22.2%) operatively 7 (77.7%) After operative management urogenital 18 (38%), complications occurred (39%). A (14.9%) died as consequence 5 them death within 30 days polytrauma, but no led directly patient. CONCLUSIONS Based on evaluation patients, state that diagnostic algorithm including CT IVU UCG adequate timely diagnose injuries, polytraumas. confirmed frequent not usually cause polytraumatized patients.
